Consuming paper means consuming\u00a0wood<\/strong>\u00a0(trees), but also\u00a0water, energy polluting our air<\/strong>\u00a0(for processing and transport),\u00a0ink<\/strong>\u00a0(pollutant) and\u00a0chemicals<\/strong>\u00a0for paper processing. (Basically paper has brown colour, like wood, but nobody would like to use a brown napkin so they put a ton of chlorine to whiten the paper.)<\/p>\n In China particularly, a crazy amount of paper towels is used every day to wipe everything (dust, a stain, coffee spilled, mouth, nose…) and end up in the trash immediately. Sometimes barely used.<\/p>\n At home, there are packages of tissues on coffee tables, side tables, kitchens… In restaurants or offices, there are tissues on every table \/ desk, in every meeting room…<\/p>\n How to change this bad habit? My tip<\/strong>:\u00a0In the restaurant, paper napkins are always served with the cutlery. I got the habit of keeping them to give them a second life in my kitchen. Convenient for wiping oil for example!<\/em><\/p>\n What do you think of this eco tips? \n<\/strong>By stop buying packets of tissues or rolls of paper towels and replacing them by small cotton rags, hankerchiefs (which can be made out of old clothes for example), towels and tissues in fabric that will be used several times before to be washed in the laundry with the rest of the linen.
